Order and Chaos

This print is based on the squid and ray tiles that are the basis for Tessellations' first puzzle. The ordered tessellation of squids and rays becomes disordered due to a shark appearing on the scene. The order-to-chaos transition occurs from top to bottom in the print, while a squid-to-ray transition occurs from right to left. This tessellation metamorphosis creates squid/beach and ray/water ambiguities. "Order and Chaos" is a limited edition of 50 digital prints executed in 2005; image size 16" x 11 1/2".
